This sixth session of the Hospitals on FHIR webinar series is dedicated to the EU Lab Report Implementation Guide (IG) and its role in enabling structured, interoperable laboratory data exchange aligned with EHDS requirements.

The Implementation Guide provides the technical and operational framework necessary to translate policy objectives into consistent system-level deployment. It defines the structure, constraints and interoperability specifications that ensure harmonised laboratory reporting across healthcare environments.

This 30-minute session explores the scope, architecture and practical implications of the EU Lab Report IG, highlighting how it supports alignment between regulatory expectations and technical implementation in hospital systems.

Building on previous sessions covering data domains, terminology, FHIR foundations, implementation guides and logical modelling, this webinar completes the structured interoperability pathway towards operational EHDS readiness.
