MIE 2026 – Medical Informatics Europe (Genoa)

XiA (Xpanding Innovative Alliance) will participate in MIE 2026 – Medical Informatics Europe, taking place from 25 to 28 May 2026 in Genoa, Italy.

MIE is one of Europe’s leading scientific conferences in medical informatics, bringing together researchers, healthcare professionals, policymakers and digital health innovators to explore advances in health information systems, data governance and interoperability. Organised under the umbrella of the European Federation for Medical Informatics (EFMI), the conference plays a key role in shaping Europe’s digital health research and policy landscape.

As discussions focus on data-driven healthcare, interoperability standards and the implementation of the European Health Data Space (EHDS), XiA will contribute by promoting structured interoperability skills development and supporting the alignment of digital health competencies with evolving European frameworks.

In particular, XiA will highlight the importance of:

• Strengthening digital and interoperability competencies across healthcare and research communities
• Supporting the practical implementation of European health data frameworks, including EHDS
• Bridging research, standards and real-world digital health deployment

XiA’s participation in MIE 2026 will contribute to reinforcing European dialogue on digital health transformation, workforce readiness and sustainable interoperability implementation.
